Sunday Mornin’

Okay, upon taking a practice drive (this time I drove) to Detroit again, I think I’ll be okay getting there tomorrow. It’ll be heavier traffic so I’ll have to be more careful, but it should be fine. Hopefully.

Anyway, I’m like far too excited about the Once Upon A Time and Downton Abbey premieres tonight. I’ve been watching One Tree Hill for the past 45 minutes. Thankfully it’s an episode from whatever the last season that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton were on, so I’m not being spoiled cause I haven’t see anything past that. I plan on watching all the seasons from the beginning on Netflix when I have the time, which will probably be in March after I’m done with school.

Speaking of which:
1. I’m rather depressed that tomorrow = back to school.
2. I’m also happy that tomorrow = back to school because ONLY 10 MORE WEEKS, SHIT SON!
3. I’m pretty excited to have Ethics class this term. I really hope it’s gonna be a good class.

Also, my mom bought like 5 bags of Lindt chocolates and I’ve kind of been pigging out on them and I know I’m going to have to work out extra hard in the coming weeks cause I’ve gained like 3 lbs back this break due to holiday eating. At least it’s not like 10 lbs. 3 lbs is doable.

Lastly, back to One Tree Hill – THIS SHOW NEVER CEASES TO BE ABLE TO MAKE ME CRY.

Oh, and P.S. Today’s sketch:

P.P.S. On my way to work I was listening to the radio and thinking it would be fitting if Maroon 5’s Sunday Morning were played. AND 5 MINUTES LATER, IT CAME ON. Morning = made.

Spoilers!

If you missed tonight’s episode of Once Upon A Time, I feel very sorry for you for the following reasons:

1. You missed Emma finally realizing this yes, the curse is real.
2. You missed August turning into Pinnochio and the touching moment when Emma burst in and bawled her eyes out watching that happen to him.
3. You missed the pretty legit fight scene where Emma fought the shit out of a goddamn dragon and then took a golden egg after she killed the dragon that harbored a bottle of true love.
4. You missed Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin coercing/lying to Emma to give him the egg as she was stuck in the elevator shaft back up from the dragon’s lair, only to find out he had tied up Regina.
5. You missed Belle being released from her basement entrapment by the Mad Hatter/Jefferson and being told to find Mr. Gold and tell him Regina trapped her.
6. You missed Belle finding Mr. Gold and telling him that, and then seeing Mr. Gold CRY. IT WAS SO SWEET.
7. YOU MISSED EMMA BREAKING THE GODDAMN CURSE WHEN SHE KISSED HENRY CAUSE HE WAS DEAD.
8. YOU MISSED THE PULSATION OF LOVE RIPPLING THROUGHOUT THE LAND AND WAKING UP ALL THE CHARACTERS.
9. YOU MISSED MR. GOLD BRINGING MAGIC TO OUR WORLD. BAM. END OF SEASON.

P.S. Completely unrelatedly, HNI made a visit to the library last week to chat. I was emotionally cooled down from not seeing him for 2 weeks, but as soon as he walked in, it was like a sunny lion awoke and all I could do was smile uncontrollably. WHAT IS THIS LIFE.

I’m The Queen of Wishful Thinking (Really)

I should start carrying around a tiny notebook with me so I can write down ideas as they come to me because I know there was something I wanted to talk about tonight on here, and I have no idea what it was. Two days in a row here. What is going on? I’m gettin’ old.

Anyway, tonight’s Once Upon A Time was rather awesome. It gave me the feeling of being enclosed in a tight little room because only a handful of the characters made an appearance in the episode. We met the Mad Hatter and discovered he was one more person who knows and believes in the curse and the other world. And may I also say he was SO HOT in the real world? I was sitting there the entire time mentally drooling at his sexy face. And he had nice hair. And a fantastic wardrobe. TRIPLE FUCK YEAH. Unf. Next week’s episode seems very intriguing as the preview heavily hinted that we’re finally going to find out what Snow did to Regina to piss her off so much. Can’t wait!

I also sort of can’t wait for Titanic in 3D. I’ve seen that movie loads of times, but I think I might actually go and see it in 3D. Although what I really still want to see is The Artist. But as I said before, I want someone to accompany me. Movies by yourself can be nice, but…I really want to go with someone to see this particular movie.

Lastly, I just want to share this great New Found Glory song, The King of Wishful Thinking, because I find it infinitesimally beautiful, lyrically and musically. Enjoy :)

60s All Week, Holla

I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am for this Spring/Summer seasons. Today we had a high of 64 degrees and it was absolutely GORGEOUS outside. Unfortunately, I had to work, so I didn’t get to enjoy it like others might have, but I was thrilled to leave work while the sun was still out. I can’t wait until it’s sweltering and I get to change my comforter to my light summer one and wear dresses and skirts and shorts, oh my! It’s supposed to be in the 60s all week. This is the best middle of March I can remember – ever. I really hope this means we’re going to have a really hot summer. Plus, the Olympics are this year – I have a feeling it’s gonna be great.

That said, tonight’s episode of Once Upon A Time was very intriguing in regards to that box Ruby found with a human heart in it. When she initially found it, I thought it might be the huntsman’s heart that Regina pulverized, although then I thought it probably isn’t because she pulverized it. I found it very interesting that Mary Margaret’s fingerprints were found inside the box. And! When Snow met Red she faked her name as Mary Margaret! That was kinda cool, and interesting. Also, I’m really happy Once Upon A Time hasn’t taken a mid-winter break like other shows. They just keep rolling out episodes and I love it.

Lastly, I started playing Draw Something on my phone, which is an OMGPOP game that I used to play with large groups of internet friends and I nearly forgot how fun and addicting it is. I recommend you guys try it out.

YOU’RE ALL I EVER WANTED, YOU’RE ALL I EVER NEEDED, YEAH

Today was much better in comparison to Sunday. Although I got my blood drawn, which is generally a traumatic experience for me, it wasn’t that bad because my mom’s friend/co-worker did it and she has like the touch of baby Jesus or something. I swear, whenever that woman takes my blood, I never even feel the needle go into me – which is not something I can say for any other phlebotomist. Unfortunately, she didn’t get to fill all the vials she needed (there were probably like 10 for all the various tests I want done) because my veins rolled or something. Both arms.

After that, I watched 1984 on Netflix, based on George Orwell’s novel. It was a rather depressing movie which is why I needed to watch something else tonight – episode 9 of Once Upon A Time that I missed last night due to the Golden Globes. (Speaking of which, I really miss the old design of the Globes with the winged statue chick beholding the globe.) Anyway, I am super intrigued about who the bloody hell that guy on the motorcycle is and how he came to be in Storybrooke. Because she Henry said, strangers don’t come to Storybrooke. And the plot continues!

I also exercised and dyed my hair today! I was planning on dying it during break week so I’d be freshly ginger for Valentine’s Day – but let’s not kid ourselves – Valentine’s Day is going to be completely ordinary and S.O.-free for me as it has been every year of my life. So I thought why not get rid of my one and a half inch roots and spruce up my color back to vibrant red? The checkout lady at Target liked it enough to comment.

I thought about taking pictures of myself to showcase the “back to redheadness,” but I think natural light would do it better justice. Besides, it’s been dark since 5, and I’m not really feelin’ it to take pictures, so I’m sitting here listening to N*Sync and finishing my tea, mildly worrying about grades and the homework that wasn’t so urgent but I probably should’ve gotten a head-start on. Life.

^ Anthem of my PRE-TWEEN years.

Photography and Fairy Tales.

I’ve been eating the Hershey’s seasonal Mint Chocolate and Candy Cane Kisses like a little Kisses Guzzling Monster all day today. I literally sustained myself on Kisses all day. I also took photographs of each of the flavors we have, but only ended up liking the ones of the Mint Chocolate Kisses while editing. I might have to go back in Photoshop and mess around with the Candy Cane ones again. Anyway, this is what I came out with:

I was about to say I got a lot of positive feedback on this set, but I just remembered it was actually on this piece. A lot of people seem to like it on Facebook and Deviantart. It’s nothing new – the concept has been done many times, I was only testing it out my way. I like the photo, but I think I can do better. I want it to look more airy and…free-falling? Yeah. Kinda like the Kisses up there. Clean, cool, and breezy looking.

Also, the game department chair at my school just sent me a link to some website full of art galleries in Michigan and is genuinely urging me to submit my photography to various galleries. I genuinely feel like my amateur photography is not good enough for these galleries. =/

Anyway, so I caught up on Once Upon A Time tonight because I missed last week’s episode due to work. Both last week’s and this week’s episodes were bloody good. I love this show so much. It’s one of those rare shows that comes along and snags you, and with every passing episode it leaves you with the lingering desire to want to know what happens next as soon as possible. Those are the best kind of shows.
